With extensive experience aligning scientific and commercial strategies to drive impactful gene therapies, Dr. Ashish Patel serves as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Nanoscope. With a focus on ophthalmology, he has led major product launches that advance care for chronic eye conditions. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales at Iveric Bio (now Astellas), where he oversaw the launch of IZERVAY^TM, a treatment for geographic atrophy. He previously led U.S. marketing efforts for Novartis’ BEOVU® and was the global launch lead at Bayer for a key indication of EYLEA®. 

Dr. Patel began his career as a research scientist at Novartis and has held leadership roles across sales, marketing and R&D. He holds a PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from Stony Brook University, an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Biophysics from the University of Southern California. He was also a graduate fellow in molecular biology at MIT.
