I’ve noticed it’s been a gradual thing where I’m reaching for my magnifier in my pocket and looking for my phone and then I’ll see numbers or I’ll actually see who is calling. It’s like, WOW! They’re little things but for me it’s awesome!

If you or someone you know is concerned about changes in vision, find an eye care professional near you. You can also explore a list of organizations below to learn more about managing the disease, find inspiring stories from the community, and identify local opportunities to get involved.

FOUNDATION FIGHTING BLINDNESS is a helpful resource for people who are affected by diseases that cause blindness. They are a national organization with many local chapters and they are a private funder of retinal disease research.

PREVENT BLINDNESS is a national non-profit with a network of affiliates, divisions, and chapters, serving millions through public and professional education, community programs, and research. 

RETINA INTERNATIONAL is a global, patient-led umbrella organization dedicated to promoting research and improving the lives of individuals affected by retinal diseases. 

NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND (NFB) is the largest nationwide organization of blind Americans. The NFB has local branches in every state providing information, support and mentoring to blind Americans.
